STONE (Study of Tamsulosin for Urolithiasis in the Emergency Room) was a multi-center randomized clinical trial sponsored by The National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney Diseases (NIDDK). The primary objective of this study was to determine the effect of tamsulosin on patients with a kidney stone within 28 days.
